I LOVED watching The Academy Awards last night!! What a kick it was to see “old Hollywood” blend with new technology, new hosts and new ideas as well as it did. Gotta say, Ann Hathaway was the -light-of-the night!! I thought she was absolutely charming with James Franco and everyone else ..especially Kurt Douglas.

Anyway..I think we ALL won last night. So, tonight I thought it would be fun to talk to you about something you’ve been awarded.  Whether it was the blue ribbon at the county fair or a Emmy..let’s hear it!! If you were awarded a plaque, a crown, certificate or a trophy… do you have them on display? Or are they in a box in the basement, or long gone?

I Found out what a dumb brag was years ago when I told someone “I love pumpkin pie soooo much, I can eat a whole one”..they said “Are ya sure you want to be bragging about that out loud”? Heck ya!

Now I can be over the top vain about some stuff (which is a whole other blog) but for some reason I’m okay with laying out what’s true for me. Like..when I was dating in bulk, I had panty hose last longer than my relationships. My dogs where my “human replacements”, they got to sleep with me every night and they never had to buy me a drink. Dumb Brag?? Ya, probably but it’s the truth.

I’ve  actually done “Dumb Brag” shows where we ALL can fess up..YOU have the advantage because you can stay anonymous. I’m thinking it might be fun to do this tonight..so call-in at 303/631-2101 after 7pm and let’s see who has the best dumb brag in town.

My husband bought a kiln and a pottery wheel at an auction and now we are going to relive the scene from Ghost…he, he just kidding!  I am going to learn how to use them and very excited about the possibilities.  I was told you can also make some really cool jewelry pieces.  If you have experience with using a pottery wheel, please send an email.  I’ll post pics this weekend….it will be my first spin on the wheel

Most people know the difference..some “feel” the difference between syndicated and  live & local radio.  Like food, radio that’s canned has a different color, texture and  flavor.  Before returning to KOSI,  I had a canned night show on around 95 small town stations across America. It felt like I was leaving voice mail messages for hours a day… and never to anyone I actually knew or would meet.

Live & Local radio is a whole other world!! You and I can actually touch each others lives, we can share what’s true right on the air, we can meet at live broadcasts and actually become friends!! The possibilities are endless.because we’re sharing space in the same community.

I love hearing that you missed me these last few years… I’ve missed you too!! My heart longed for something real on the radio again with you, and now we have it!! With new technology, this time around I have even more ways to let you know how grateful I am that you listen at night and call-in when it works for ya. Thank you soooo much for being such an amazing part of my life.
