Cancer League of Colorado is a charity started by 5 women in 1969, and has grown to donate $8,000,000 for research RIGHT HERE in Coloroado!  More importantly to me, this is an all-volunteer organization with no overhead.  ALL FUNDS raised go directly to cancer researchers and service grants here in Colorado!

Ever heard of the breast cancer drug tamoxifen?  That drug, now commonly used for breast cancer treatment, was discovered because of a grant from Cancer League of Colorado.

This weekend, Murphy and I are rappelling off the side of a building to raise money for this important work!  The event is called “Over The Edge”.

My house is 117-years old, and hasn’t had a new coat of paint since I bought it in 1998!  So, I found out that Kwal Paint would send a designer to help me figure out a palette, and narrow down the choices!

This woman is Lauren Grace, one of the Kwal Paint professionals available to do the SAME thing for YOU!  She is an interior designer, trained to know what looks good given the light, the homeowner’ preferences, and the wall texture.  She was amazing!

Lauren and I in my kitchen!  She is explaining what shade of yellow will look good, based on the counter colors, the natural light, and the color of my appliances.  She is darned good!

Lauren brought all 1600 Kwal colors, and spread out on the floor of my guest room to get ‘er done for me!

Lauren showing me what is what in the living room.  I am pretty tired of that blue color from 1998!

CLICK HERE to save 40% off Kwal Paint!  They are a Colorado company since 1947, I LOVE that fact.

Fewer more beautiful places to watch the sunrise in the metro area!  The dogs enjoyed it too!

Giving me kisses:  Otis the Pug, and Moose the French Bulldog.

Moosie & Otie!

My boyfriend Viking, thinks about the sunrise, and why the heck I got him up so bloody early on a Sunday.  :)

Hello, Mr. Sun!

As it got closer to 7am, the runner’s started to arrive.  Moose and Otis act as greeters.

Remember when you were a kid and you would be at a lake on vacation.  Walking along the shore trying to skip rocks on the water.  When you got good at it you would start to count the skips…well take a look at these big kids trying to do the same thing by hitting a golf ball!
